Microsoft just launch a new ad campaign for it’s Office Suite. Normally, the aim of the app should be to promote it to attract users. But in this case, it is different, instead of highlighting the features of Excel and Word Microsoft decide to put Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Office 2019 against each other.
In the ads campaign, it is certain that Microsoft did not want you to buy Office 2019. This is not a stupid decision for Microsoft, they actually have a reason for this. Office 365 is a subscription package while Office 2019 is a one-time purchase package.
The ads Microsoft launch features two actors twins who engage in various challenge. They compare the two Office in term of their Word, PowerPoint and Excel. It is obvious that Office 365 beats the Office 2019.
Microsoft really want you to subscribe to Office 365 instead of buying one time purchase Office 2019. Microsoft will launch the update of the the Office 2019 in 2025.
Office 365 which is subscription based is better option for Microsoft in the long run.
Office 365 users are going to enjoy so many features that are absent in Office 2019. Office 365 users will enjoy online features with a bunch of Al-driven tools. Office 2019 will not have these.
The Office 365 subscription starts at $70 for personal users while it is $8.25 per month for business use. The Office Home and Business is a one-time purchase of $250.
