The FaceTime bug for iPhone and iPad has finally being fixed by Apple. Apple have release update for iPhone and iPad to re-enable Group FaceTime. The iOS 12.1.4 update is bug free and it feature the Group FaceTime.
Apple has previously disable the Group FaceTime. They did this when they discover that people now eavesdrop on someone else microphone or camera by starting a face Group FaceTime call with them.
For those using iOS 12.1.3 you cannot join or start a FaceTime call with more than two individual. The company effort to fix the bug has eventually become a success with the new update.
“We have fixed the Group FaceTime security bug on Apple’s servers and we will issue a software update to re-enable the feature for users next week,” Apple said in a statement. “We sincerely apologize to our customers who were affected and all who were concerned about this security issue. They also said “we appreciate everyone’s patience as we complete this process.”
How to update to the iOS 12.1.4
To update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 12.1.4 and enjoy Group FaceTime. First backup your device to iCloud or computer using iTune. Tap on “General” then “Software Update” to download and install the update.
This update is still propagating on Apple’s servers. For this reason it could take a few minutes before you see it. Apple has eventually promise to reward the student that first discover this bug.
