MediaTek To Launch It’s own 5G modem

Top smartphone company like Huawei, Samsung and Qualcomm has lead the road to 5G modem and MediaTek is about to join the queue. The Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer just announce “it’s almost time” for “smart to meet fast”.

 The company new 5G AI product is schedule to arrive in May, meaning in ten days time we will have the platform available. The company previously introduce Helio M70 as their 5G platform. 

Since the announcement of the Helio M70, it is yet to be available officially or ship to smartphone makers. We currently don’t know if the new chipset will have in-built 5G modem or the official launch of the M70. It is very possible that no smartphone will sport this chip until next year because of the timeline.

The MediaTek top priority 5G+Al and the 12nm Helio P90 will arrive with independent AI processing unit, that is capable of reaching gigabit speeds for AI calculations.

Furthermore, MediaTek has been claiming that it can track the human body and read particular gestures. This will make them to bring smart beauty body and live broadcast of video with blur background on the spot.
